Stephen Glaister is Professor of Transport and Infrastructure, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Director of Railway Technology Strategy Center, Imperial College London. Board Member, Transit for London , having previously been with the Department of Economics at the London School of Economics. His area of expertise is the economics of transport. Stephen was a non-executive director of London Regional Transport Board from 1984-1993. He also acted as an economic adviser to the Rail Regulator from 1993-2001. He was appointed CBE in 1998. He earns a Ph.D. from University of London in 1976. A MSc. In Econometrics from The London School of Economics in 1968, and a BA in Mathematical Economics from University of Essex in 1967.
