Andres Rabinowicz, Vice President, Caliper Corporation.Leading Architect of TransCAD.

Dr. Andres Rabinowicz is a Vice President of Caliper Corporation and an experienced transportation planner and engineer who has been active in developing improved methods for transportation planning. Dr. Rabinowicz is the leading architect of TransCAD, a GIS based travel demand forecasting and transportation planning software widely used in many countries in the world. He directs the development of new and improved versions of TransCAD and also guides the research and development of traffic simulation and GIS products at Caliper. His research interests involve the development and application of new and faster convergent traffic assignment models for large scale networks. He has authored numerous reports and papers in improved traffic assignment methods.

Dr. Rabinowicz has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from the Israel Institute of Technology (TECHNION) .
